	Fy hoff daith, ac un o'r ardaloedd harddaf yng Nghymru, yw'r ddwy Aran ym Mhenllyn. Dechrau yng Nghwm Cywarch ym Mawddwy ac yn ymestyn fy nghoesau i fyny at Aran Fawddwy. Ymlaen ar hyd y grib odidog, lle mae yna ddigon o fywyd gwyllt ac adar I ddenu sylw. Anelu am Aran Benllyn lle ceir golygfeydd gwefreiddiol o Lyn Tegid a'r Bala. For walkers there are paths to suit all abilities from the flat, leisure paths of the town and lake to the strenuous mountain walks up Aran Benllyn, the Berwyn or Arenig Fawr.

Cyclists can appreciate the quiet country lanes or take up the challenge posed by the high passes of Bwlch y Groes or Cwm Hirnant.

	My favourite walk, in one of the most beautiful areas of Wales, is the Aran range in Penllyn. Setting off from Cwm Cywarch near Dinas Mawddwy I stretch my legs to the summit of Aran Fawddwy, along the magnificent ridge where there is plenty of wild life and birds to attract attention. Onwards over the top of Aran Benllyn where spectacular views of Llyn Tegid and Bala are to be seen. Down to Llanuwchllyn village and a cup of tea in one of the Bala cafes before returning home… Iolo Williams Naturalist and presenter of BBC2's 'Birdman'

Bala Lake Railway

The train, one of the “Great Little Trains of Wales” runs along the shores of the lake from Llanuwchllyn to Bala throughout the holiday season and offers young and old alike an excellent opportunity to appreciate the area’s outstanding natural beauty.
